Level switches are used to monitor liquid levels in containers. They detect switch points and can be used as float switches or level switches. For applications in explosive atmospheres, there are explosion-protected versions, such as, for example, the model OLS-C51 level switch.
How does a level switch with float work?
A level switch detects the liquid level inside of a container. For this purpose, float switches are used, in which the magnet opens or closes one or more reed contacts inside the float, depending on the level. Alternatively, optoelectronic switches are used to monitor the level and detect switch points. Now there are also vibration level switches, which can be found in the WIKA portfolio.
