In order to create a networked digital infrastructure, the measuring points of plants – which are often widely distributed – need to be digitalised and integrated into existing systems.
To achieve this as efficiently as possible, WIKA has specialised in providing simple, fast and scalable IIoT solutions for measured value transmission. Self-powered sensors send their measured values wirelessly to a gateway via a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN). From there, the data is forwarded to a central network server, decrypted and transmitted to your systems via interfaces. WIKA supports you with the planning, implementation and integration of your private LPWAN network.
Scalable data transmission
WIKA provides you with a range of communication technologies for secure and reliable data transmission – both private networks such as LoRaWAN® and mioty® as well as public, cellular networks such as LTE/5G, LTE-M and NB-IoT.
In addition to the selection of the optimal transmission technology, successful digitalisation in the field also depends on seamless scalability. The most important element here is the network server, which manages the endpoints centrally. Regardless of whether your plant comprises one or several thousand measuring points, WIKA, together with its partner LORIOT®, provides a standardised and therefore future-proof solution.

As the security of your data is paramount, our cloud solutions are hosted in certified data centres. Alternatively, we provide all solutions on-premises. The network server is installed locally on the premises of your company. WIKA and its partner LORIOT® are also certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.
LoRaWAN® is a widely used LPWAN protocol. It offers secure and scalable connectivity for IIoT. LoRaWAN® allows you to set up a private network that ensures data security and enables efficient device management.
