Infrared scanning is a reliable and nonintrusive way to make sure that industrial furnaces, critical heaters, and other processing units are operating as efficiently and safely as possible.

IR scanning supplements continuous monitoring

Tubeskin thermocouples (TSTCs) continuously monitor the temperature of furnace tubes, allowing operators to run heaters as close as possible to the tubes’ metallurgical limit in order to maximize production. However, with hundreds of tubes in a process unit, it is not economically viable to monitor every point.

Thermal imaging enables operators to get a complete temperature profile of the furnace, complementing the continuous monitoring that TSTCs provide. Our advanced IR cameras and software are able to detect issues that mounted temperature sensors might miss, such as:
