Description
WIKA’s Pyranometer is an advanced, high-precision instrument designed for the measurement of solar irradiance on a horizontal plane. It is engineered to meet the most stringent requirements for accuracy & reliability, making it ideal for use in meteorological networks, solar energy applications, and environmental monitoring. The Model SP-100 features a weatherproof, corrosion-resistant housing made from anodized aluminium and UV-stabilized acrylic domes.
Features of Pyranometer (SP Series)
- High spectral response: Covers a spectral range of 200 nm to 3000 nm, capturing the full solar spectrum.
- Precision thermopile sensor: Highly sensitive and low noise, detecting small irradiance changes in a range of 7 to 14 µV/W/m².
- Fast response time: Responds under 5 sec for 95% of the signal, enabling real-time monitoring.
- Temperature stability: Temperature coefficient of less than ±1% per °C, with precise measurements from –40°C to +80°C.
- Cosine correction: Features an advanced optical diffuser for accurate cosine response and angle of incoming solar radiation.
- Calibrated against standards: Calibrated against a WRR-traceable standard at the Davos International Pyrheliometer Comparisons.
- Surge protection: EN 61000-6-2 for industrial environments and successfully tested for surge immunity under EN 61000-4-5 with 2 +/- 1 kV.
