Thermocouples with patented, double vacuum-brazing and exposed mineral-insulated, metal-shielded (MIMS) cables are suitable for demanding applications where the highest level of safety and extremely fast response times (in the order of seconds) are required (Patents, property rights: EP 4 283 268 B1 und US 2023/0375414 A1). It is used without a thermowell, which significantly improves the response time.
The exposed probe tip consists of an outer sheath (Alloy 600 or stainless steel), within which the inner conductors are embedded, insulated, in a highly compacted ceramic compound. This proven, robust design allows for use across a wide temperature range.
