Jugend forscht 2025: WIKA hosts Bavarian state contest

The Jugend forscht 2025 contest at state level will take place at WIKA from 2 to 4 April. Young people from all over Bavaria will present their research projects at the measurement technology manufacturer’s Innovation Center in Klingenberg. In the various Bavarian regional contests, 60 entries were selected, which will now be evaluated by a jury of experts from schools, universities and companies. The best contributions will be honoured at an award ceremony and qualify for the final, the national contest in Hamburg.

In the Bavarian Lower Main region, WIKA has long been committed to promoting young people and supporting them in their professional development. Individual classes or year groups of schools in the region are cordially invited to visit the Jugend forscht contest at state level. The baton as host has been passed on from automotive supplier DRÄXLMAIER Group to WIKA who will be organising the event every two years, alternating with the electronics company Rohde & Schwarz.

Jugend forscht is Germany’s best-known contest for young scientists. Young people up to the age of 21 can submit research projects in the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The best works will be honoured with cash and non-cash prizes.
