WIKA measuring instruments for pressure monitoring
For pressure monitoring in industrial processes, conventionally pressure switches, pressure sensors (also called “pressure transmitters”) or pressure gauges are used. Depending on the process and ambient conditions, a wide range of instrument variants for gauge pressure, differential pressure and absolute pressure are available. These differ, for example, in accuracy, in materials, approvals and working temperatures and also in overload safety. As a worldwide leading supplier, WIKA offers a wide portfolio of corresponding measurement technology and thus also an appropriate solution for your pressure monitoring:
Pressure switches for pressure monitoring
Mechanical or electronic pressure switches from WIKA are used for pressure monitoring in general industrial applications and in the process industry. When reaching a preset pressure value they open or close a switch contact. Depending on the instrument version, several switch points, change-over contacts (SPDT) and different contact types (e.g. also microswitches for the direct switching of electrical loads) are possible. Some electrical pressure switches have additional functions such as a digital pressure indicator or an additional analogue output signal and enable a comfortable adjustment of various parameters such as the switch hysteresis or the switching delay.
Pressure sensors for pressure monitoring
In all applications in which a continuous output signal (e.g. 4 ... 20 mA and 0 ... 10 V) is required, so-called pressure sensors are used for pressure monitoring. Here too, depending on the specific application, most diverse instrument versions are available in the extensive WIKA portfolio.
Pressure gauges for pressure monitoring
If an indicating measuring instrument is sufficient for pressure monitoring, conventional pressure gauges are generally used. What applies in this regard too: A wide variety of instrument versions are available, depending on the measurement requirement and application.
What solutions are there against pressure spikes?
For this, we recommend a process connection with a reduced pressure port of 0.6 mm or 0.3 mm.
